fixietas:

Car Free Day (1/6) It was one of the most crowded car free days we’ve ever been to. Probably because it was the first day of June which resembled the halfway mark of the year, or perhaps because it was the day in which the two fronts of both presidential candidate supporters for the upcoming election decided to march on the streets. It was so crowded, we found it almost impossible to ride our bikes in some parts of the city. So we decided to get away from the central area down to a more civilized Lapangan Banteng where we could see some of the most bizarre display of plants and animals Jakarta can offer.

It was a rather special Sunday because we were hosting Nas Hosen of Royal Fixed Gear, who is visiting Jakarta for the holidays. Heads up for that Parallax!
